Music can bring opportunities
In the previous edition, coinciding with the festival’s 25th anniversary, the Cap Roig Festival strengthened its social commitment. The Cap Roig Solidari initiative, which had traditionally taken the form of a single charity night, was expanded to cover the entire program. The festival allocated part of the proceeds from each concert to different local social organizations.
This year, the Cap Roig Festival consolidates the initiative and once again commits to a fully charitable program, in which all concerts will support social causes. A portion of the revenue from each performance will be dedicated to social projects run by three organizations in Girona and the Baix Empordà—organizations that carry out essential work in care, inclusion, and support for people in vulnerable situations: the Private Foundation Oreig, the Viu Autisme Association, and the El Puig Center.
Private Foundation Oreig
PALAMÓS
The Private Foundation Oreig is dedicated to the care and prevention of childhood developmental disorders and imbalances, with the aim of fostering family, school, and social environments that support children’s growth and development. Contributions from the festival will be used to acquire standardized psychometric diagnostic tests, which are essential for developing individualized therapeutic plans.
Viu Autisme Association
CASTELL D'ARO
The Viu Autisme Association, founded by families with children on the autism spectrum (ASD), works to promote inclusion and equal rights and opportunities for people with ASD. The funds will support the Respir project, a temporary support service that provides specialized care and respite spaces for families, helping to improve their quality of life, reduce stress, and encourage social inclusion.
El Puig Center
PLÀ DE L'ESTANY
The Puig Center is an organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities, functional disabilities, or mental health disorders, with strong local roots and direct social impact. The contribution from Cap Roig Solidari will go toward the acquisition of a new adapted transport vehicle, which is key to ensuring mobility, autonomy, and inclusion for the center’s users.
With this initiative, the Cap Roig Festival reaffirms its conviction that music has the power to transform lives and provide opportunities to those who need it most.
