Discover the Cap Roig Festival experience
Our open-air stage can host up to 2.458 viewers and it brings together the best musical artists in an exceptional natural setting of over 17 hectares in front of the sea in one of the most prestigiousbotanical gardens in the Mediterranean.
A unique environment with history
In this place, the most characteristic plant species of the area are mixed with trees and plants from the five continents, and blending in with the beautiful natural landscape of the Costa Brava, right next to the sea.
Located between Palafrugell (10 hectares) and Mont-ras (7 hectares), in the Baix Empordà region (Girona), the gardens are, due to their singularity, a unique space. Nature, art, culture and history come together in this 17-hectare enclave that brings together more than a thousand botanical species from all over the world, as well as sculptures by renowned national and international artists. For all these reasons, Cap Roig is considered one of the most important botanical gardens in the Mediterranean.
The origins of the Cap Roig Castle and Botanical Gardens date back to 1927, when the Russian Coronel Nicolai Woevodsky, a lover of drawing and architecture, and his wife, the aristocratic Dorothy Webster, a decorator and lover of archaeology and gardening, left their courtly London life to settle down and build their dream in this unique place, in a remarkable setting by the sea. A place where nature and tranquillity reign.
Nowadays, their ideology and legacy remain alive thanks to the commitment of Obra Social “la Caixa” towards the conservation of the environment and preservation of the scenic and architectural heritage.

Social commitment

Specifically, the proceeds from the concert will be used for equal rights and opportunities for people with mental disabilities.
The festival for children
After the great success achieved in previous editions of Cap Roig Mini, with unforgettable full houses and an overwhelming success, the festival consolidates the children’s programme with a new family show that will continue to have the youngest members of the family as the main protagonists.
Cap Roig Mini will once again open the doors of the gardens to parents and children in afternoon sessions to enjoy together a show for the whole family.
