Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to have had eight albums debut at number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. Throughout her career, she has received two Grammy® Awards, ten Juno® Awards, and racked up numerous gold, platinum and multi-platinum records.
Born in Nanaimo, Canada, she began studying piano at the age of four and was already performing professionally in her teens. After training at the Berklee College of Music, she developed her career alongside key figures in jazz, including her mentor, Ray Brown. Her international breakthrough came with When I Look in Your Eyes (1999), which spent 52 weeks at the top of the jazz charts and cemented her relationship with her label, Verve. Since then, she has built up an elegant and consistent body of work, collaborating with artists such as Tony Bennett and Paul McCartney.
