Juan Diego Flórez began his musical career in Lima, singing and playing Peruvian, pop and rock music from a young age. After training in classical music, he made his professional debut in 1996 at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. His debut was a real success and marked the beginning of a stellar career. Since then, he has consistently performed in the most important theatres and stages of the world alongside internationally renowned directors. Juan Diego Flórez will be playing his first show at the Cap Roig Festival with the pianist Vincenzo Scalera to present a selection of songs and arias by composers such as Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi and Jules Massenet, among others.
