Dancer, choreographer and director, Sara Baras is one of the most prestigious and internationally recognized Spanish artists in the performing arts. She began her journey through the top theatres in the world 30 years ago without losing sight of her roots and early years in Cádiz. The Royal Albert Hall in London, the Sydney Opera House, the City Center in New York or the Bunkamura Theatre in Tokyo are some of the stages in which Sara Baras has performed throughout her career, always receiving exceptional acclaim from audiences and the press. In addition, she has shared the stage with great artists such as Paco de Lucía, Plácido Domingo, Chavela Vargas and Ainhoa Arteta.
This year, Sara Baras will be performing for the first time at the Cap Roig Festival with a very special show, Momentos. This project emerges from the emotions we feel when we remember moments that have left their mark on us, in the form of dance. Emotions, experiences and sensations are the fundamental premise in a show where choreographies are once again the perfect excuse to pour our hearts and souls out.
